Eric Thöner (Germany) competed at Eurovision in 1973. Best result: #8.
German pianist, keyboardist, vocalist and composer, especially for commercials and advertising (for example Schwäbisch Hall "Auf diese Steine können Sie bauen"). He was born March 25 1941 in Bucharest (Romania) and died on February 7, 2001 in Starnberg. His nickname was "Jay", because he was the founding member and manager of the Würzburg based beat band The Jay Five. With his composition "Junger Tag" he took 8th place with Gitte Hænning in 1973's Eurovision Song Contest.
